I mean where do I even begin with this Westin Book Cadillac Wedding Detroit? So first, Jackie is my cousin. When she reached out to me it was beyond the best compliment to receive that she loved my work and wanted me there for her! There really isn’t a better compliment to make you feel good about what you do.
Jackie and Amogh had decided on the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit. This was perfect because of the many weddings I’ve been blessed to document there. From the marble staircase, to the high ceilings, beautiful windows, the Italian Gardens, the outside even, everything surrounding the Book Cadillac is special for any wedding.
Jackie & Amogh were very adamant about each of their traditions and they wanted both a Hindu and Christian ceremony. When I tell you this was like photographing two weddings in one day, I’m not kidding! It really WAS photographing TWO weddings in one day!
When I arrived to set up my mind was blown! I can honestly say this was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed and documented. Jaw dropping STUNNING. The florals were done by Sara McGregor and Megan Zimmers – WOW did they EVER out do themselves!
It was also special to be a part of such a memorable day not just with Jackie & Amogh but with my family as well. It was really special to be with some of them who I haven’t seen in such a long time. I think I can say this was an evening to remember for everyone. For me personally, it is a wedding in my career I am so insanely proud of. Every image I have gone through I can’t help but think how happy everyone will be to see these when I deliver the entire gallery.
