As fall was approaching us I had the pleasure to shoot one of my favorite families again! Last year I shot newborn photos of Evan, the sweetest little baby. So photographing them again was a HUGE pleasure!
Amy and Eric are from Rochester like myself so shooting at The Rochester Park was the PERFECT location. The weather was gorgeous, and the kids were fantastic! And YEP – Miss Abigail had fairy wings so I was SUPER stoked to snap shots of her!
One of the main reasons I love shooting families is because I totally understand all of the hard work that goes into these shoots. Being a mom of 4, I cherish family photos so I put in so much work from stylizing everything, choosing everyone’s shirts down to their socks and shoes (even my husband – lol!). So I know how much each and every one of my clients work to have these done. Now the biggest thing for us is to have happy children smiling and being perfect. Some times that doesn’t happen in fact, almost every time it does. BUT I have found that my most favorite images are of kids being themselves! I’m not a big pose photographer I’m huge on lifestyle and letting everyone do things that they like to do. Whether that’s having a conversation during the shoot, belting out a giggle or even crying. It’s that emotion right there that I strive to capture.
I had a blast and I LOVE their photos. This session is EXACTLY why I love photographing families … it shows their personalities, their happiness and their love for one another. Thank you Amy, Eric, Abigail and Evan for letting me capture your amazing family. <3
