It was a hot July day, with storms in the forecast, when Lisa and Matthew got married. But the grey skies didn’t stop these two from having the most amazing day of their lives. This Inn at St. John’s Plymouth Meeting House wedding was absolutely spectacular in every way! It was filled with so many little precious moments and I was truly happy to document it all!
When we arrived at The Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan, all the girls were gathered getting ready to the big day. As we settled in and got out our equipment I noticed that Lisa had THE cutest details ever! From the beautiful getting ready robes, to the custom bags for her bridesmaids, everything was so adorable! And her dress, oh her dress was AMAZING! It was my favorite dress I’ve seen all season, just gorgeous! But the cuteness didn’t stop there! Lisa’s daughter, Ellie, was the flower girl. She looked so freaking adorable! As everyone was getting ready, Lisa gave Ellie a little gift to open and my heart melted when I saw what it was! Ellie opened up a little handkerchief and Lisa read the sweetest poem that was stitched onto the handkerchief for her wedding day! So precious!
While I was gushing over everything with the ladies, Nicole, was downstairs photographing the guys preparing for the big day! They were such a fun group of guys and Nicole had a blast photographing them hanging out, eating lunch, and getting ready. It wasn’t long before Nicole got Matt into position for the first look to see his beautiful bride.
After Matt and Lisa saw each other for the first time, we photographed the bridal party at the Inn at St. John’s. I absolutely love this location because it has so many great locations to photograph inside. Because of the heat we opted to stay inside for the majority of the pictures, but they still looked fabulous!
And their ceremony was also fabulous! They had a beautiful ceremony set up inside the Meeting House Grande Ballroom. A string quartette played as Lisa walked down the aisle to her husband to be. The ceremony was quick, but oh so meaningful! After the ceremony, they had their reception held at the same location. It was a super fun reception with an awesome nine person band and an amazing dessert table with lots of donuts and chocolate covered chips. Delicious!!!
I could go on and on about their perfect day, but I’ll leave you with this. Take a look at the beautiful Lisa + Matt!
