The Homestead Glen Arbor MI Wedding

Filed in: Weddings

Deb and Ryan’s The Homestead Glen Arbor MI wedding was a dream! The Homestead is an unbelievable place to have a wedding. The resort overlooks the beautiful Lake Michigan beach and it truly embodies the up north spirit with its cabin lodging and village like grounds. It was perfect in everyway!

Deb and Ryan began their special day getting ready in their separate rooms. Deb had her hair and makeup done at the LilyJade Salon, right within the resort. As the girls hung out at the salon, Ryan and son were getting ready together, munching on m&m’s and looking out their bedroom window anticipating the best day of their lives.

We of course had to do the first look on the beach. Ryan stood in the sand patiently waiting for his bride. When Deb saw Ryan from afar she was so excited that she couldn’t help but run towards him, it was a tear jerker!

Once it was time for the ceremony, they had a unique way of getting to the location, by chair lift! Every guest rode up the lift through the most beautiful trees arriving at the top where the ceremony would take place overlooking the water! When it was Deb’s turn to ride up everyone stood and looked at her with so much love, it was a beautiful moment. The two said their vows and made their way back down the life with a just married sign draped on the back.

Their reception took place in the main village of the resort. Once they made their grand entrance, they made their way over to a beautiful sweetheart table placed right in front of a window that had the view of a small waterfall. The two were graced by loved ones with tearful speeches and so many hugs for each of them. The cake was so beautiful and had hints of purple detail to match the wedding theme. Deb and Ryan cut their cake and celebrated with a first dance to Rascal Flatts – Bless The Broken Road. Halfway through they were joined by their two sons who had the best time as they spun them around. As everyone joined them on the dance floor, the party began! Deb and Ryan were joined by so many loved ones to dance the night away and celebrate their love for eachother!

We could not have asked for a sweeter couple to be with on this day.

We so enjoyed celebrating with Deb and Ryan at the beautiful Homestead Resort.

Xoxoxo,

Sarah
