Nothing is more fabulous than a Country Club of Detroit wedding! John and Kristina had a spectacular wedding in October at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the Country Club of Detroit. The cathedral is absolutely stunning and the country club was the perfect location for these cuties! The whole day was spent in the amazing city and we even stopped by the newlyweds downtown loft, it was perfection! My associate photographer, Amanda, photographed with me as well! I love working with her because I don’t have to worry about a thing, she totally rocks her style!
I started at Atheneum Suite Hotel in Detroit while Amanda started with John nearby at Standard Barber Co. Kristina looked gorgeous while she was getting ready and rocked out her Detroit Bride shirt! TOO cute! She got ready alongside her bridesmaids and loving mother. Seriously the relationship between Kristina and her mother was so genuine and sweet! It was amazing to witness. Before we headed off to the ceremony, I wanted to see if the girls were up for a challenge! Rooftop photographs are always amazing but with the fall chill and having to climb quite a few steps I wasn’t sure if they were up to it. But they were totally down for anything! I love a fun and chill bridal party! We made our way up to the roof and captured some spectacular photographs of the ladies with the Detroit skyline in the background. FABulous!
After the bridal party warmed up quickly we were off to the ceremony just down the street at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral. It was absolutely beautiful! The spectacular white arches and grand marble floor was perfect for this spectacular couple! Their traditional ceremony was a beautiful event to witness.
Once the ceremony was complete, we photographed the bridal party at The Belt next to the Z Deck. They looked great next to the graffiti and brick walls! After photographing the wedding party we snapped a few shots of John and Kristina. When we were finished the couple wanted to take a quick break and head up to their loft just around the corner. So we followed to capture the quiet moments of them in their own home. It was truly beautiful to see them relaxed in their own environment together. It was at this moment you could tell they really were meant for each other!
Following the loft, we headed out to the reception in Grosse Pointe Farms at the Country Club of Detroit. Their cake was spectacular and so was their first dance. These two are seriously amazing and they are even more amazing for each other. Amanda and I loved documenting their wedding!
