It was a snowy day in November when Kimberly and Ron got married. They had a beautiful wedding at the Colony Club in Detroit, Michigan. We love photographing at the Colony Club because it is a spectacular venue with a glamorous, vintage feel! It is always a favorite! And not only did I get to photograph at an amazing venue, but I also had an amazing photographer by my side. Hugh, with Venture Photography, did a fabulous job as always!
I started the day off photographing Kimberly getting ready. And let me tell you, she looked spectacular! Her details were absolutely fabulous and so was she! Kimberly was glowing with happiness! When she was all ready, I met Hugh in the lobby and we prepared Kimberly and Ron for their first look on their wedding day! Ron stood excitedly waiting for his bride. When these two first saw each other it was adorable! You could tell by their emotions and smiles that there is so much love between these two!
Before their ceremony, we photographed the bridal party in a gorgeous hallway in the Colony Club. The ladies bright gold dresses matched the decor perfectly! The light shining off their sequined dresses added a little sparkle to the photographs! Once the bridal party was photographed, it time for their amazing ceremony. The amount of love and happiness during their ceremony was spectacular and it was such a joyous moment to capture it! I especially loved Kim’s excited expression as she jumped the broom at the end of the ceremony!
Following the ceremony, they had a beautiful reception at the Colony Club. Their friends and family all gathered as Ron and Kimberly made their happy entrance into the reception. The live band played music as the guests ate, mingled, and danced. Before the night was over, we took the adorable couple into the grand hallway again for some precious photographs of them. After we captured them sharing a dance in the hallway, we headed outside for a quick moment to grab a photograph of them underneath the lights and falling snow. It was breathtaking!
