Back in April, I was honored with the chance to shoot a gorgeous wedding in Galveston, Texas. Since most of my wedding photography is done in Michigan I was ecstatic to travel down south for their big day!! Jessica and Chris tied the knot on Friday April 12, 2013. The weather was perfect, the details were amazing, and the bride looked gorgeous! I had done their engagement shoot back in November of 2012 in downtown Houston, TX and the two of them were so much fun to work with then so I knew their wedding day would be awesome as well.
On the day of their wedding, they decided to do a first look which was absolutely adorable. The look on Chris’s face when he saw Jessica was absolutely priceless! I LOVE shooting first looks! After their first look, the two said their “I do’s” at The Lyceum and then the whole wedding party took a trolley to the reception site at the historical Ashton Villa. Earlier in the day, while the girls were getting ready at Springhill Suites, I snuck Jessica’s dress over to the reception site to shoot some detail shots. While I was there I also captured all the of other special details of their day. Cindy Comeaux was the couple’s wedding coordinator and she made sure their wedding day was perfect from start to finish! Their beautiful flower arrangements, bouquets, and boutonnières were all made by Jessica’s matron of honor, Katie Jones. Jessica’s stunning fabric bouquet was made from the fabric of her grandmother’s wedding dress. HOW AMAZING IS THAT!? Their awesome purple wedding cake was made by Norma’s Bakery and the band Pirate Radio kept the guests dancing all night!
