Minji & Chris were originally scheduled to have their wedding at the University of Michigan Museum of Art in July of 2021. Due to the restrictions they chose to push their date to July 30, 2022 and I’m so glad they did and it was well worth the wait! However, I did manage to photograph their engagement session which can be found here.
I began documenting Minji and Chris prepping for their wedding at the Hyatt Place in Ann Arbor, which is not far from the ceremony location. It’s safe to say I love brides who stay on time which they did very well. The bridesmaids were wrapping up with hair and make-up and the groomsmen were almost completely ready!
Minji had wonderful details incorporating the catholic ceremony as well as the Korean ceremony. I’m sure you can understand how important that is to have when I’m capturing your story! From the wedding invitation, her perfume, her shoes, to even the envelope stamp the details showcased their personality and what to expect from the wedding day.
When it came time for Minji to get into her wedding dress, not only was her mother smiling and full of happy tears, so was Christopher’s mother.
Afterwards, Minji and her Father Hyungu had a first look in the lobby at the Hyatt Place An Arbor. This is where the father of the bride sees the bride for the very first time. There’s a special place in my heart for parents who have such geniune love for their children and it feels like an honor to be able to capture those moments.
After her time with Sung, we departed for St. Francis of Assisi. Here Minji & Chris had a full Catholic mass wedding ceremony. Like most traditional ceremonies, this was full of laughter, tears, smiles and love.
Before the reception Minji and Chris had a few other events to celebrate! We departed to the University of Michigan Law Quad for their bridal party photos before touring the University of Michigan Museum of Art for the pictures of just the two of them.
Minji & Chris swiftly took off to then prepare for their traditional Korean Ceremony! Guys, the colors, the details, wow. Just WOW! I cannot express enough how incredible details are and how much of them tell YOUR story.
After their finishing touches together with their mothers, they made their way upstairs for the Korean ceremony to take place in the lobby at UMMA.
While the attire is dreamy and jaw dropping, it was a lot to wear for the remainder of the evening, they then opted to change back into their suit and dress.
When it came time for their announcement, I love how the guests did not know where they were coming in from. Everyone is looking around and suddenly, there you see Minji and Chris up top looking down at everyone, together. The cheers, the napkin circling and celebration down below was incredible!
In conclusion to the important parts of the day, Minji & Chris finished the night away. Further celebrating their love for one another with friends and family. I am beyond blessed to have been there to capture their story.

Katie & Curtis’s Downtown Detroit Colony Club wedding was a traditional classic and proves just why weddings are so special. From Katie’s getting ready moments with her mother and grandmother to Curtis’s time with his friends and family, they were showered with love before walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time.
Katie along with her mother, grandmother and bridesmaid spent the morning at her mothers home. Curtis and his groomsmen spent the morning at the Westin Book Cadillac in downtown Detroit. From there we made our way to the Colony Club where they were able to relax and freshen up before the ceremony. Family and friends arrived with smiles, and a whole lot of love. Katie & Curtis are truly loved by many and it absolutely showed.
When it came time for Katie to walk down the aisle and Curtis to see her for the first time, his smile was contagious! The tearful walk then meeting her soon-to-be husband at the end of the aisle put everyone in tears of happiness.
When it came time to celebrate, celebrate is exact what they did!! They danced into the night and luckily we managed to escape to capture a few evening shots at the Fox Theatre just steps away. Rounding out this stunning classic Detroit wedding.
I hope you enjoy these highlights as much as I did capturing them!

Ashley & Jeremy were married this past weekend at the Peninsula Room Jolly Pumpkin in Traverse City and what a way to close the summer out!
After 5.5 years together, they tied the knot combining their family together as one! In addition, they just so happen to live in our subdivision which has blessed us with not just neighbors but friends. We love where we live guys! The moment I met them I knew I had to photograph their wedding when that time came, and I’m so blessed I did!
Instead of the traditional bridal party, they had all five of their children stand up! I just love that!! And I’ll be honest, the most memorable part of the evening was having all five of them introduce Jeremy and Ashley for their first dance as husband and wife. xoxo
From the tearful morning to scrubbing’ the ground on the dance floor, here’s a few highlights from their day!

Personal Branding Headshot photography has been a found love I greatly enjoy.
Last Sunday I decided to do a little something different. In May I took the plunge and leased an office / studio space. I wanted to expand on more than weddings and portraits. I have found that personal branding really taps into you and your personality, not just your business. That is something I really love when I’m personally capturing images. I want to showcase YOU. You are the heart of your business so showcasing your personality and style is everything. Even though 99.999% of people hate photos, ha! I still make every effort to make it painless and fun!
With that, here are a few images from my mini branding shoots last Sunday.

Aria & Joseph’s Hindu infused Gem Theatre Detroit wedding was nothing short of amazing. From the colors, the details, their personalities and even the love surrounding them made the day magnificent.
Aria & Joseph began getting ready at the Shinola Hotel in downtown Detroit. Steps outside in Parker’s Alley they decided to have a first look and, you guys…look at the reactions! That is a moment everyone around can feel the love, it was just beautiful.
It wasn’t long after we departed to the Gem where they would celebrate the rest of their day. Aria & Joseph chose to have a Christian ceremony first followed by a Hindu ceremony directly after. Being present to document these moments really make me feel humble. I enjoy seeing the different traditions and how intimate these moments are for each family member. For that I’m thankful.
Aria & Joseph wen into their first dance as you would expect any couple following dinner but they had a surprise up their sleeves….take a look to see how that went down!

Jolie’s senior shoot in Downtown Milford Michigan was one of the most gorgeous summer evenings we’ve had to date! Jolie will be graduating with the class of 2023! From Jolie’s causal style, her laughter and even her personality made not only her shoot beautiful but it captured her as a person! I am so blessed to have been there to capture these moments before she begins her senior year.
=)
If there’s a time of the year where I love sessions the most, it would be right now! Hannah & Quinn’s summer sunset Stony Creek Metropark engagement was beyond anything I could’ve hoped for for them! The colors, the tones, the outfit coordination to even their personalities, what could be better? The moment I heard from Hannah and she mentioned wearing boots I was instantly eager to meet her and photograph them! I am a huge lover of cowboy boots and it’s not often I have a chance to see them make a presence in sessions. So with that here are a few captures from our time together!
Camden & Julio had a gorgeous summer Detroit Institute of Arts engagement session in Detroit, Michigan. They are simply stunning. From their connection, their outfit selections, to the colors choices, it could not have gone any better.
During our time I had the opportunity to watch them connect an I have to say you guys, you can certainly feel their love in every capture.
I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

Meredith and Daniel were married this spring at the Shinola Hotel in Downtown Detroit Michigan. Due to Covid they opted to reschedule from 2021 and I’m so happy they did! It was well worth the wait!
What I loved about their day was that not only did they keep the Detroit theme alive, but they also incorporated their tradition of a Vietnamese ceremony. Not only did they have that, but they also had a traditional ceremony.
When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that Meredith and Daniel had two separate beautiful suites that also shared the same terrace. Because of that, we were able to make the most of their day using this private space.I personally was jaw dropped because Meredith’s color choices very much my branding style and theme. That never ever happens you guys! Like I’m not kidding I wanted their lounging outfits asap! I love those colors so much it’s all throughout my home. I even have a white jeep with cognac leather, and black interior … shameless fun fact.
Meredith and Daniel started with the traditional Vietnamese ceremony before changing and continuing with a traditional ceremony.
I love documenting days that showcase each couple, and their day was just that. Through every image you can feel their smiles, it’s contagious!!
With that, here’s a glimpse in their day followed by all of the wonderful vendors who made this happen!
